FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
New ArchVision RPC Libraries Launched
NEW 2.5D Moving People Libraries Released
Let's face it, there's nothing like watching the
expression on your clients face as they see an animation of their new building
replete with people buzzing around the new establishment. Our goal is to help
get you there and in doing so we're pleased to announce the immediate
availability of 2 new RPC Moving People Libraries. 2.5D Moving Casual People
Volume 3 and 2.5D Moving Business People Volume 2 each contain 16 highly
detailed RPCs.
Each RPC contains 20 seconds of movement allowing you to
create incredibly realistic animations full of life. And as with all RPC
Content, you can take advantage of the time saving tools available in the RPC
interface. Features like "Ping Pong" will loop your Moving People leaving no
jump in motion if someone is in view for longer than 20 seconds. You can also
alter the start frame for each motion cycle with a single click.*
2.5D Moving Casual People Vol. 3 is available now. Click

New RPC Shadow Plug-in for 3ds max, Autodesk VIZ and ADT
Most
of you have probably read the RPC Shadow Tutorial we've promoted over the past
couple of years. We've found techniques like this can serve you well,
particularly when working with exteriors and including dozens or hundreds of RPC
Trees & Plants.
Now we've taken that same concept and turned it into a new RPC
Plug-in! 3ds max, Autodesk VIZ and ADT users can now use the RPC Shadow Plug-in
to automatically generate shadows for the RPCs in their scene. The RPC Shadow
Plug-in provides a new RPC Light, the sole purpose of which is to cast shadows
for the RPCs in your scene. A great feature of the RPC Light is that it doesn't
affect any other lights in your scene! The RPC Light "removes" light where RPCs
should be casting a shadow.
The RPC Shadow Plug-in provides parameters letting you control
the resolution of shadow masks (fuzziness of shadows) and intensity of the
shadow. Rendering a scene with a moving lightsource? No problem, just link the
RPC Shadow Light to the moving one and the RPC Shadow Plug-in will do the rest.
The RPC Shadow Plug-in is only $49 and is guaranteed to become
a favorite.

ArchVision Helps Launch New AUGI Revit Exchange
On
January 3rd, AUGI (Autodesk User Group International) launched a new Revit
Exchange. Users now have a central location to post and download the 2D and 3D
Revit Family files (RFAs) used in Revit. ArchVision worked with AUGI to provide
a browser-based RPC Viewer for the components.
Visit the exchange and join AUGI if you're not already a member. It's free!
As a result of updates to ArchVision's Content Management
solutions to accommodate the AUGI Exchange and other initiatives you may have
noticed a change to our own website. The ACM (ArchVision Content Manager) now
has its own home at acm.archvision.com (ACM Central). ACM Central provides a
centralized location for managing ACM registrations, messages and preferences.
Watch for other ACM Enabled websites in the coming months allowing you to easily
manage downloads, licenses and updates with one application.
